Advanced Display Settings for Windows 2000

 


      

 

   Display Options

  

      The display device must be Enabled, then configured the display mode to your requirements.

  • Single Mode: Either the LCD, Monitor, Flat Panel Display or TV as a display device

  • Clone Mode: The LCD, Monitor, Flat Panel Display or TV outputting the same view (you can apply different display modes with different resolutions and refresh rates)

  • Extended Desktop Mode: The LCD, Monitor, Flat Panel Display or TV outputting a different view

 

 

 

   External Monitor or Flat Panel Display Settings

 

Turn the computer off. Connect a external monitor or flat panel to the DVI-Out port (may require DVI to VGA converter) and follow the steps below:

  1. Turn on the computer.

  2. Make sure you have loaded the correct Video driver that was provided by the manufacture.

  3. From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel

  4. From the Control Panel, double-click Display icon. In Display Properties, select Settings and then click Advanced… Select the Display

  5. Click the enable button for Monitor or FPT device. And then click either OK or Apply to save the changes you have made

  6. Select the settings as followed:

  • Toggle the Fn + F6 to set the Panel (LCD), Monitor (CRT) or FPD (Flat Panel Display) as Single Mode or Clone Mode 

 

 

  • Click either the Extend Right or Extend Down Button at the Panel (LCD), Monitor (CRT) or FPD (Flat Panel Display) to set the Extended Desktop Mode. And then click OK or Apply to save the changes.

  • Extend Right button is for extend the display to double-width.

  • Extend Down Button is for extend the display to double-height.

 

 

 

 

   TV-Out Settings

 

Notice:

  • To enable the TV-Out by default, connect the TV set to the S-Video out port before starting the computer. DVD playback to VCR will be scrambled by copyright protection technology.

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure you have loaded the correct Video driver that was provided by the manufacture.

  2. From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel

  3. From the Control Panel, double-click Display icon. In Display Properties, select Settings and then click Advanced… Select the Display

  4. Click the enable button for TV device. And then click either OK or Apply to save the changes you have made

  5. Select the settings as followed:

 

  • Toggle the Fn + F6 to set the Panel (LCD) or TV as Single Mode or Clone Mode 

 

  • Click either the Extend Right or Extend Down Button at the LCD to set the Extended Desktop Mode. And then click OK or Apply to save the changes.

  • Extend Right button is for extend the display to double-width.
